Tombstone Inscriptions of Aleppo Rabbis
Index prepared by Mathilde Tagger

Introduction

This list is the transcription and translation of tombstone inscriptions of 250 rabbis from Aleppo most of whom were buried there, as reported in the Hebrew book "Sefer asher lekedoshim beAram Tsoba" , by Rabbi David Tsion Laniado, published in Jerusalem in 1952.
The present index provides the surname, the given name and the father's name - when available - as well as the Hebrew year of death, the corresponding Gregorian year, the place of death and notes.
